They are so beautiful. I'm no expert, in fact I'm a total novice but the white one has similar markings to my light sussex.

There are a few things you can use in your coop to prevent red mite,  the two most popular are diatom and Poultry shield.   The diatom as you know you can sprinkle around the coop, in the nest boxes etc, the poultry shiled which i buy in the spray form you can spray into all those knooks and crannies.   I clean out once a week, others leave it abit longer, its entirley up to you.   nickyx

thank you for the advice
they currently sleep in a arc i made out of wood loads of knooks but was very pleased with it when built
im curently converting a shed for there next home and then if i get on ok with my 2 girls i will be looking to add to them
i will tile the floor of the shed to make it easier to clean and safer iv done this with the bunny shed.
might get plastic for walls then seal it all around with some sort of sealent hopfully that will keep the blighters away

Oh they're really pretty.  Makes me want to add a few more chooks to my flock
