Title: seen any adverts on the TV lately
Post by: rowlandwells on March 06, 2021, 13:37
I don't know if its just me having a moan but there seems to be an awful lot of adverts on some of the commercial Tv channels lately just when you get into something on come the adverts that seem to repeat the same advert over and over again channel 4 got to be one of the worst  >:(

its got now that if i want to watch a program that without the adverts I put it on catch up TV that eliminates the adverts  does anyone have the same opinion as me

We tend to watch most things in catch up just to avoid the ads.  I know it's how some channels are financed but it aggravates me beyond belief.

I go through the tv pages and decide which programmes I actually want to watch (not many nowadays!) and set the sky box to record them. Then when i want to watch them I can whizz through the ads :)
I also found that a lot of old programmes that you can now watch,  get downloaded to the box without any ads at all. RESULT   I managed to watch the whole Sharpe series again without any :)

Yep, I am the same as Mum.  Read programmes, record those with ads, to watch later then flick through. :D  Mrs Bouquet

I take great pleasure recording something and fast-forwarding through the adverts. If I see another one for Wayfair I shall go ape-poo!
