Hi purplebat,I think that 1 of your birds is definately a Blue laced Wyandotte ( no red) ,as she looks the same as mine that i got from the Wernlas Collection (on page 2 of this thread). Hope this helps

These are Sandra's (slowef's) Goslings

Here they are the new members of my brood.  They have yet to be named as we don't know what sex they are so it can wait.
I gave them a cuddly toy to snuggle with to help them settle as they have no mummy apart from me and I didn't fancy a pooey bed!!

Moved here for Sandra by Aunt Sally
PS Shaun says he wants one.  It doesn't have an engine Shaun

thanks Aunt Sally for moving them.  They don't need an engine they have enough energy :-)  They make a really lovely happy sound chirruping but you definately know when they're not its ear piercing!!  They are both doing well and eating and drinking fine.
They hate it if I leave them though so I have to cover the box and sneek off :-)

Hi purplebat

The last photo you have displayed is a Welsummer, I think. Does she lay dark brown eggs? We have two - Wilma and Wanda. They aren't too easy to get hold of  - I would love some more, so if you hear of any going , let me know.

Well the last picture on the right is a hybrid, Warren or ISA or Hubbard or something!  Not sure about the others.  Apart from Warrens, I've only ever had light Sussex, Marans and RIR's

my how they have grown
The ducklings grew!!  Theyhave discovered a source of food is the chicken run and steal at all possible chances, plus they caused devestation in the greenhouse and ate 6 tomato plants and a courgette! They are now banned and its netted off against them the little tinkers

Scary moment today one of them got in the swimming pool and I didn't know, when I found it , it was totally frozen.   I wrapped it in a towel and blowdried it to get it warm.  I hour later it was none the worse but we need to fence the pool area off as they can get in the pool but not out.  Had to take this one of them the other day when we caught them in the pool, not to be encouraged because of chemicals and the pooing! They look like they are trying to work out the ladder sweet but dangerous.  Another job for OH this weekend making the pool area safe and duck proof!!

Your ducklings are gorgeous -if a little naughty! I have just talked my OH round to letting me have some ducks - but if they knew they liked corgettes and tomato plants I think it would be a firm no!!!!

Oh its a small price to pay, I got over this by making a wall with fleece just pinned it to sticks either end of the row that seems to stop them for now

Get some ducklings you will love them but be prepared for lots off poo!! A water source is needed too as they need water to feed I use an old childs boat and fill that, I hope it will fullfil the need and keep them out of the Swimming Pool!!

I have had a steep learning curve with them but if I can help just IM me and I will if I can
