Have you heard how he is?
We have 17 chickens, 3 quail, 2 dogs, 3 cats and that's enough (for this week)

Thorsey had serious difficulty breathing and Cara rushed him to the vet who x-rayed to confirm no foreign objects.

He's got fluid on his lungs and is on steroids to help them clear it and oxygen. He's staying overnight.

We're fingers crossed for him. He's only 18 months and has always been a bit sickly.

I'm to phone again in the morning. He was purring at the nurses last time I spoke to them and he seemed brighter in himself. I've been belting back and forth between my house and Phils (as thats where mum had the kittens), but thankfully mum is doing so well with kittens that I dont need to be with her as much so can spend some time nursing him when he gets home. Thorsy has always been sickly, I just hope there's nothing more sinister that hasnt been diagnosed so I'm going to have some blood works done just to rule out any nasties.

Aaah poor Thorsy.

Sending you both big hugs and a tummy tickle (for Thorsy of course) and hoping for a spedy recovery.

Snappy

No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch.

I could give up chocolate but I'm not a quitter.

Thor is a bit better this morning, but still needing to stay at the vets for his breathing. I'm to phone again later and if it's another overnight stay I will be popping up to give him some cuddles. The other cats however thought it was great last night and this morning as they all got wet food (Thor cant digest without sickness so they all get the same normally), I've not seen all of them line up and eat together so happily for months  ::)

Wishing you all the very best Cara. Its just sooo hard when they get sick and it just makes for a very knackering day when you to and fro with a sick one AND have to keep on top of all the normal daily routines.
Sending lots of Reiki and healing thoughts to you all ;)

Thorsy is home now, but does have asthma and is on steriods. Back to the vets on Friday for a check up. I've had to move him back to the specialist sensitive diet as his stomach ahs flared up with the stress  :( Such a sickly boy for 18months old, but also so loving and very happy to be home - Caesar has been his shadow and was obviously missing him very much. Jelly, any ideas on things that can naturally help cats with breathing problems as it's not something I've had before and want to try everything I can with him? On a good note the vet said he can carry on being an outdoors cat as I was worrying if he had to be kept in how I would do that with 6 others!
