first year on my allotment and everything has grown really well. Let's hope we get another good summer next year

When I look at my diary and review the year, I have not really done bad at all, in my mind I'm 23 my body reminds me that I'm not (55) and things take a lot longer in the real world to do than in your mind (2-3 times as long usually). I've loved it I'm well and truly hooked on the allotment, as one of my tee shirts say

Eat  Sleep  Allotment

I've had a great season - pretty much everything (bar the squashes) has outdone itself. I need to get better at storing and preserving though. I've got jams and jellies down pat, but there's waaaaay too little freezer space for what I can grow.
