A room of one's own

On Wednesday I sat on the step chatting with our smallest poullet, Rusty, about the works of Virginia Wolfe and her concept of a room of one's own.  I explained to her that for the last two years my time has been taken up with looking after her sisters and didn't leave much time for academic musings.
Yesterday she emerged singing her "I've laid an egg" song from the cat kennel, she has found a room of her own, without any help!!
