My three legbars have also recently started laying. Their eggs are a light blue colour though one or two have been an olive colour They have surprised me with the volumes they are laying at.

   Great news, how old is she?  My four Black Rocks are 25 weeks old and two have just started to lay.

She had just hit her 26th week. Have put pics in a different post as she lay a blue and green egg and a soft blue in the same day! Have only one hen that would lay that colour egg. Its under Two Tone egg

I've had a green egg from a Legbar.  It was blue when she laid it.

Will have a look at that, mine are 26 weeks now and atleast three of them are laying.  It could be all four but not sure as they are all in and out of the coop loads at the moment.  Think it is the novelty of it all.

In and out of the house and stalking the fence nearest it was how i now know she is going to lay. Well that and the constant chatter  Was worried the first time i saw her doing it as she looked so panicked.  They each have their own way of letting me know when they are going to or have done  :happy:
Now just waiting for Beth (cuckoo maran) lay, Wonder what she will do

That is exactly what Emerald did today, she was making sooooooooooo much noise I put her in the coop and closed the door.  Left her for about 1/2 an hour and bingo a lovely egg and one quiet but happy hen.

Little Miss Sunshine laid her first egg today so that is all 6 of my girls laying.
