Those cabbages did look a good size.  You must have been gutted to see that  :(

They were doing so well  :(
Thing is, it only takes the sheep half an hour to do loads of damage. By the time you spot them and shout, too late.

A sheep is a pretty big set of teeth compared to a caterpillar and I am sure they know they are doing wrong and scoff stuff down as fast as they can  ::)

I discovered I had a ‘leg’ of a veg cage broken yesterday, which I assume is a muntjac panicking and charging into it. 

They wander around the site when they think no-one is around, but if anything spooks them, they just run.  I have jumped out of my skin before now when surprising one lurking in a quiet corner.  I have lots of chard in the cage, which it would eat to stumps if it got the chance, so it could have been worse.  I’m off up there later to try and do a patch job with cable ties and a bamboo cane as a splint.
