cheapest oven ?
« on: March 10, 2017, 17:06 »
This is one that I always ponder over.  I have a double oven regular size, with a smaller one over. it is electric
Lots of cookery instruction say  ie:  fan oven 170 or ordinary oven temp 190 c.

Am I cheaper to use the larger fan oven, at a lower temperature or the smaller oven at a higher one.  I know this is a broad sort of question, and I suppose a lot depends on cooking time, but generally speaking which one should I go for ?  Regards, Mrs Bouquet

IMO the power used by the fan will probably cost nearly the same as the 20° temperature saving so go for the smaller oven.
