9c dropping to 4c   feels colder.   Winds still gusting around 48.    Not too much damage, greenhouse ok. Will have to get somebody to come and rewire in the yew tree it has split open.   Quite bright, but heavy rain for later.

Wet snow here - not sticking though. Temperature has gone from 5 to 1 in the last couple of hours.

Hopefully I can keep the fire going without going outside for more coal.

The showers haven't had time to keep still and get us properly wet on the blustery wind. However tomorrow looks to be windy again with sleet and snow in the mix. Lovely.

I think the weather here today is worse than yesterday, the wind is whipping round the house and making quite a racket. Torrential rain, sleet and hail.  The other side of the Island has had thunder and lightening.  I've told Paul he's not to come home along the coast road as our van is quite high sided and the wind is coming from the west. (whether he 'obeys' me is another matter.)

I'd like to visit the garden centre but the coast road in our high-ish, light-weight car (Meriva) is not something I would like to tackle. My son in law does that route to work and he reckoned it was throwing a diesel Skoda Octavia about.

Supposed to be 97% chance of hailing right now. it is not. Windy-20mph Westerly, no frost, sunny and no clouds overhead. We'll see what the clouds to the south bring. Winds supposed to be gusting in the 40s from 11am-3am. Better get the laundry out, luckily the hurricane force pegs haven't let me down yet.

The sunshine today is being very smug "Eh, what storm, nothing to do with me"  !!    Down on the front about 1ish it was high tide, and the front is closed off.   I was glad to get back in.

It's been a nasty old day here - freezing winds just cut through your coat. Some hail too. But the mountains look beautiful with their white hats on! I came back from the osteopath on the scenic route - should have had my camera with me.
