Only 29.4^oC here today.  But due to last night’s thunder storm the humidity is high.

I may have spoken too soon, but it appears that the thunderstorms which we were predicted have passed up the Pennines.  High today of 29C.

Some very loud and persistent rumbles of thunder about an hour ago - checked the rain radar and it looked like eastern areas of Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster had a nice deluge.

Here in SW Sheffield, not a drop. 

Looking at pictures on the news of hailstones the size of a £2 coin coming out of that thunderstorm makes me relieved rather than disappointed we just missed it - hope no-one suffered damage to either crops or property.

This morning we're mostly cloudy, sun occasionally trying to break through, with the odd quick sprinkle of rain now and again. 16C and quite humid now.

After the heatwave yesterday felt a lot colder than the thermometer's 20ºC reading. A grey chilly day that threatened rain  but did not deliver. Distant thunder in the background but we escaped that too.
Rain overnight continuing today, reasonable rate so the ground is absorbing it.
Amazing how well the grass is doing now, really green and lush - same can be said for the weeds

It is currently tipping down here.  Glass half empty - I was going to the plot this morning    Glass half full - when I do get there I don't need to water

Was woken up in the early hours by the sound of rain. got a couple of hours of decent downpour and the skies look like we may see some more. Was always going to happen given that I gave the plot a good soaking yesterday.

It's horriable out there we just been for a quick walk around the block, low cloud and blowing a gale my poor garden is certainly getting a battering

Sunny but the chilly wind has taken all the heat out of it.   Not a very good forecast for the forthcoming week on Countryfile tonight.  Although most of the predicted rain again seems to pass us by.  Please could you share it out equally please because we would like some.

Cool and cloudy. We had a few minor showers this afternoon but nothing of note.

Light rain for most of the day but when I quickly harvested some spuds when the rain stopped for an hour amazed to find the soil was pretty dry

Cloudy, 17C and looks like rain - but the blustery wind just keeps blowing it over (gusting at 20mph)

The same as Mum, but the wind is gusting around 30.  I feel a bit chilly today.
