I already had a Brown's catalogue - but they have sent me another one today with the free parsnips inside. Are they trying to remind me I haven't ordered perhaps
Thanks Mr Brown

Got mine too, and I will be trying those parsnips. They've become one of my very favourite suppliers over the past year, so I was planning to order from them anyway. Looks like you get more free seeds when you place an order too. But the White Lady runner beans just have to be from Alan Romans, cos they have them at a fantastic price compared to everybody else. A pity they don't have a wider range cos their prices are amazingly low.

Got D T Brown and Thompson and Morgan this morning. Love this time of year planning for the season

Used D T Brown for the first time last year and was impressed free postage on seed orders and quick delivery

I don't understand why more suppliers don't have the same free P&P for seeds though. It cannot cost them much to post seed packets.  Because DT Brown does this, it makes me keep going back to them every time I just want an odd one or two packets throughout the year, but those small orders are ridiculously expensive on P&P for the other suppliers.

Moles don't charge either.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

You've made me jealous now, Seedman. I didn't realise Moles was free P&P for seeds, but when I look on their site they seem to be saying there's a min order value of £7.50, so still not ideal for small orders.

Oooooohhhh you're all making me worry about not buying any seeds yet.  I haven't a clue what to get, where to get them from, or which variety to buy.

Ahhhhhhh PANIC!!! Keep calm and breathe Claire  :)

Did not see it looks like some other did not either  ;) While were on about parsnips, can you plant them in the greenhouse, i was thinking about putting them in a paper tube say 9" long to stop the tap root comming out of the bottom so i could get a bit of top on them before planting out Thanks

by the time the plant has the 2nd lot of leaves the root will already be at the bottom.
I did it last year and was really surprised by how quickly the long root grows.
So it's a good idea - but transplant as soon as you're sure of successful germination, would be my advice

Oh Claire - I'm panicking too.  Forget about the two tins of seeds I already have, I am just feeling left out that I have not bought any new ones ready for the forthcoming growing season.  Place head into paper bag and breathe slowly Claire, we will be ok :D

I haven't even looked at the seed catalogue yet ... and am not yet panicking.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
