2nd croppers
« on: July 04, 2010, 14:58 »
My OH is so impressed with our new potatoes (PJ's and Charlotte grown in flower buckets) that he wants to know if we can plant some more to have later in the year.

We only have a plastic green house and cannot bring them inside later in the year, could we still grow them or cropping in October and November(up to the frosts anyway)?

What varieties would you recommend?

Thank you in advance for any advice

Any first early or probably second early would do, I should think.  Plant no later than August.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Probably doesn't matter too much either way - if you get them now you could always chit them for a few weeks before planting say at the end of the month
