Green manure vs animal manure

I understand you can't grow root crops on recently manured soil, does this include green manure?
My wife made all the pies, then I ate them!!!

Small correction: you can't grow crops on recently manured soil that's had fresh manure (vs rotted). Some will also argue that even rotted manured soil should be left for a few weeks, but I simply don't have the time. I plant/seed when I have to and have never had problems.

Green manure, once its been chopped/tilled in does need to be left for at least 3 weeks as the decomposition will interfere with your crop. It's a pretty firm rule if you expect success.
