Cute little things Sandra.  Are you giving them chick crumbs or does mum find wild food for them ?

Hi, not been on for a while got a bit disgruntled so stayed away.

Mum is great biting crumbs and other feed up for them and getting bugs etc, I let her do it naturaly as she knows best.  She is up the garden now under a hedge with them, hopefully safe from the crows and rooks which seem to suddenly have a fascination for the garden :-(   Maybe thats where the other one went to.

Think we have a Son/daughter of Gary the Rhode (black rock egg) now sadly gone to market as have Mr Darcy, and the cockerel cheeps, took all 3 this week as it was all getting too much for the girls 4 cocks is just too many.  Other 2 look like they are fathered by Darce (eggs prob laid by Buffy)as they are cream (he was a buff) so little mum and big dads other egg was a silkie but thats the one that copped it  :?

They are lovely slowef...lets hope they're all little girls! Trouble with silkies is that the boys hide and you can't tell which they are for ages! My silkie cross cockerel was obvious from early on but the pure silkie was 6 months at least before he crowed and gave the game away!

Give them a cuddle from me,

Judi
