I am just about to get a few hybird chickens (browns) and Someone said i would be able to mix them with a pure breed. I wanted to get a silkie down the line any advice on mixing chickens? Im new to all this so appreciate any advice.

Hi stevefitz5, welcome to the forums.  There is lots of advice on here.  I have all hybrids and they have mixed together fine, even though they are a mix of different breeds, although not sure if this is the same for all types.  There is lots of information on here about introducing new hens though and you might like to have a look for this.

I have hybrids, purebreeds, large fowl and bantams all running together with no problems

Hi stevefitz5, i had two hens originally and decided to get two bantams, the bigger hens now and again attacked the bantams but now they hold there own, so i  think myself they should be okay just keep an eye on them.
