Hi,

Had a massive pea weevil problem last year. Whats the best spray i can use to control them this year? Also because my first lot of peas were got by the weevils, my second lot were full of maggots!! SO!! Can i also spray against maggots? And when the best time to plant to avoid maggots!!

I thinks thats all!

Had similar problems last year that ruined my peas. This year they are being netted with fine mesh netting from day 1 lol! That's the best protection from birds, mice, pea moth etc I can think of. Am going to grow a sugar snap pea too as I've read they don't get maggot problems?

The pea and bean weevil damage doesn't look good but the plants do grow through it without a problem.

You need to cover with enviromesh to prevent pea moth damage. If you sow early you usually miss the peamoth.
