I'm wondering why I cant seem to find strawberry seeds anywhere? Found plenty of sites that sell strawberry plants for around 20£!! Any ideas???

T & M do a variety called Sarian ( or something similar - can't quite remember). However, these arn't orgasmic & I tried a packet given to me by a friend and the seedings were weeny weeny and keeled over due to lack of intensive attention, so would reccommend buying some plants as maybe more successful!

Others seed companies will do too, don't search for strawberries, look for the seed catalogues for them. :)

couldnt you pick the seeds out of a fresh strawberry fruit?
Might do this myself actually. when's the best time to sow them?

You don't want to pick them out, Sharky, them tiny. Trillium can tell you about all this, she is doing the very thing. She posted this though not long ago, if you search about, you can find it possibly strawberry seeds or similar.

I had sarian from T&M last year and everyone germinated, and fruited in the same year, I've lost loads due to vine weevil over the autumn /winter
but they even fruited on their runners as advertised by T&M, Heres the reveiw I did for them. (http://www.chat.allotment-garden.org/viewtopic.php?t=7668&highlight=sarian), plenty of seeds about like Gobs says search the seed catalogue's not plant catalogue.
All strawbs start off weeny but with care they seem to flourish don't overwater and water from underneath would be my tip.
