Poor Sarah, my friends chook with the swollen eye and the bad leg had to be put to sleep today. it turned out she had a tumour behind her eye which the vet could see but I couldn't. She hung on in there for 2 weeks poor thing, I am so glad I took her today. I am sure the Reiki she was getting will have helped, something must have as she was still eating and drinking ok. Anyway she is in chicken heaven now. :cry:

Sorry to hear of your (friends) loss.  Had virtually the same thing happen to Daisy, my daughters favorite chook (and the friendliest chicken I have ever met). Exactly the same diagnosis and unfortunately the same result.  At least you made sure she got the right treatment as well as the Reiki which Im sure did help too.
