Supplies by mail order
« on: February 15, 2009, 08:46 »
Hi,
I live in South East London where the most exotic pets most people keep are hamsters (or Pitt Bulls that they don't control!)

I can buy Layers Pellets from my local 'Pets at Home' store but am not within driving distance of other supplies.   I'm looking for a good mail order service for oyster shell etc.  Please can someone advise?

Thanks

Have you asked your local place what they can order in for you? My village shop keeps big bags of dog food, but when I asked they said they could order big bags of cat food for me on request - so then I requested poultry feed and they get that for me too! They have said that if their supplier has it they'll order in for me - I haven't asked for oyster grit yet I have to admit  :tongue2: As an ignorant newbie I got my original bucket from FsoFancy last year, 5kg for £4.99 plus delivery, my local farmers' store sells 25kg for £7 ! it's a 50 mile round trip though so I have to be down there anyway to make it worthwhile - so hurrah for my fab village whop.
3 o'clock is both too early and too late to start anything - Sartre said so.

Not sure about oyster shell, but our local Pets at Home stocks grit.
Maybe if you asked them, they'd get some in for you.
