My meat hens keep escaping their shed during the early hours of the night. Are they being helped or is it that they have magical powers???????????

I would suggest you take a close look at the bottom of your shed to make sure it meets the floor al the way around, and that the door is closing properly!

Do a head count incase they are being "helped" by two legged predators ;)

Sounds like a 'Chicken Run' to me!  They've found a hole in your security and are taking full advantage of it.  Have a good snoop around thinking like a chicken!
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

My Dear Hubby has been known to make all sorts of insinuations about me being outsmarted by bird-brains.   >:(  Thinking like a chicken is harder than it looks.

bloomin camera ran out of battery at 3 am but the little b???s were all out an enjoying the early sunshine by the time i was up at half 6.

I really really dont know who is letting them out.

We have an enclosed garden and two chicken coops. one is wooden and those girls are not being let out. The brick shed with a proper door is for my meat hens and they are the one escaping.

The plot thickens. is it worth the alarm being set to find out who/what it is???????

Is the door open when you go out in the morning?

Are you sure there's no loose bricks in a wall and they've pushed through it?

It's certainly a puzzle!

I found the culprit fast asleep amongst the straw and sawdust at the back of the shed.

Would you believe it it is a cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now why would a cat I dont know let him/herself into my shed to sleep with the chooks.

I am puzzled and confused. Am going to get a latch for the door today.
