Title: Tomatoes after potatoes- asking for trouble?
Post by: missmoneypenny on April 01, 2024, 13:53
Last year I had Charlottes in this particular spot. They did look pretty ropey by the time I harvested, although the tubers were fine. We had blight on the plot which certainly affected tomatoes, not sure about the potatoes.
If I plant my toms on this patch is that a bad idea? The only alternative space will be partly shaded due to a large cardoon. But I grew sweetcorn there last year and then put mustard over the winter which I dug in 6 weeks ago. Any advice welcome!

I'd go for the partly shaded rather than risk blight spores, if it were up to me...

Thanks mum, that has swung it for me, I’ll put the little princesses near the cardoon.
