Once the garlics ready (it's all in tubs), is there anything that I can plant in the same soild?

I presume I'll have to enrich the soil with something aswell, but what with is the question.  ???

Thank you xx

Following the annual rotation system, brassicas follow on from onions, leeks, beans, etc, but not sure about Seasonal rotation.  Your garlic may not have taken much nutrient from the soil, so try extra from the same group maybe.
Some one more knowledgable will be along soon hopefully.

I'd get any remaining roots out, add a dash of sand if you have any and sow carrot seeds for winter carrots. Then, the smell will help keeping carrot fly at bay.

Depends a bit when your garlic is ready. Could eb as early as July, might be as late as September?

For July / August cut-and-come-again crops like Lettuce, Raddish, Leaf beet (bit late?) or Chinese Cabbage (Brassica).

I like the idea of Winter Carrots though - Senior or Firebrund (don't think I've spelled that correctly)

Sorry Cathngirl, but I thought that brassicas followed peas and beans so they use the fixed nitrogen left in the the root nodules in the pea and bean haulms which you leave in after harvesting, or have I been doing it wrong???
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

I do:

Peas and Beans
Brassicas
Roots / Spuds (although I do mine on a separate patch rotated with Sweetcorn and some cur flowers)
Onions

Yes, Goosegirl, brassicas do follow peas and beans, but my old Kitchen Garden book places onions, leeks, etc., with the pea and bean group too!  Seems odd to me but it works.

I like the idea of winter carrots following on, too.
