Title: Red spider mite
Post by: Totty on April 29, 2012, 13:37
Have just spotted one or two tiny little red mites on the underside of some tomato leaves. There were literally two or three that i could see and i had a good look on all the plants. Is this a major problem? What is the best way to control this. Preferably organically.

You can't usually see that red mites are red because they are too small.
The ones we usually notice are red velvet mites

Have had a similiar problem. I tried Vitax Organic two in one which is a mix of plant and fish oils. Too early to know whether it has worked although it is meant to kill red spider mite according to the box.
