summer raspberry - shoots dropping off
« on: May 16, 2013, 22:49 »
My summer canes look healthy, I thought originally that the canes got battered by the current winds, but I've just secured the canes with soft wire to their supports as the shoots are now about 2" and as I carefully tied them the shoots were falling off all over . . . Also I had some new canes growing in the path so i went to dig them out to move them and the just come away in my hand, no damage to the cane, no snap marks. Does this sound like cane blight?  next years canes are 6" should i cut this years canes down  or see what happens?
