I am planning a new area for chooks, away from the veg garden and the foxes.  It is triangular, bound on one side by my house, another side by wall and I was going to put an electric fence on the third side.

I am not sure whether the wall side is fox proof - it is 2 metres high with railings for the top half.  The gaps between the railings are 10cm (3 and 7/8 ins ins).  Will the fox be able to get through these gaps?

they can easily scale fences of 6 feet high and squeeze through holes 4 inches square so I wouldn't rely on this fence (perhaps fix weldmesh onto the side of it).

That's amazing considering the size of a fox
I read a story in the news last week about a guy who got pulled through a machine an te gap he went through was the size of a cd case !!!!  It smashed his pelvis but he was ok!

Trust me iv just had a fox attack it was a tiny gap but it got in and took three hens

If you think of a fox's head it is very narrow. It can look 'fatter' because of the fur.
