Title: Flee beetle
Post by: InWarwickshire on May 30, 2021, 14:30
This has surely been discussed before but can`t find any comment. I`m trying a garlic spray and wondered if others use this method. Would like a `recipe`for the solution or any other recommendation for preferably an organic solution.
(this is for eradication and not to encourage the blighters.)

I don't know about garlic, but Spinosad (a biological) and pyrethrin (a botanical) are effective for flea beetles. Check local standards to see if they are compatible with "organic" where you are.

If you make a 'crude' table tennis racket from stiff yellow card or plastic, cover it with a smear of grease and move it jently over the crop, the flea beetles jump when alarmed and stick to the grease.

No specific type of grease.   Cheers,   Tony.
