Hello all,
We purchased off a lady who has a cockerel an hens but she just brought a batch of eggs out of her shed an let us pick through, I wasn't sure how old they were etc does this matter?

Unfortunately they sound duff. I don't think it is anything you have done. It might me the cockerel is not doing his job for what ever reason usually age. Where abouts are you? Are the any auctions near to you?

If you were near me (West London) I could give you all the fertilized eggs you wanted and you could pick how old you want them (come early enough, they could be less than an hour old)

Mind you I have no idea what the eggs would be, my cockerel is a Buff Orpington and we got all kind of hens, and he isnt fussy, treats em all the same :) :) :)
It's all about the journey, not the destination
