Title: Hen House wanted for 3-4 hens
Post by: mjc9 on October 09, 2011, 18:30
Does anyone know of a 3-4 bird hen house for sale at a reasonable price.
We live in the South Staffordshire area.
We are also going to be looking for 3, maybe four hens @ POL shortly.
Thank you for your help.

No buying or selling is allowed on the forum.  Have a look on your local Freecycle for what you need or look in the classified ads on the site.  Why don't you introduce yourself in the "welcome" forum and tell us more about yourself.

Thank you for the advice.
Since I am new to forums I apologise for not introducing myself.
My wife and I used to keep chickens, many years ago.
We have just returned from holiday in Kent and had the pleasure of enjoying the next door neighbors hens (and eggs; lovely)
We are wanting to get three or four hens both as pets and for eggs.
We intend to feed them on organic food and keep them in a pen in the garden.
The cost of the fibre glass hen houses seems rather exorbitant and outside of our initial budget. Consequently we are looking for some items that may now no longer needed by other chook keepers.
Many Thanks.
Any advice will be much appreciated.

I found this website recently and wished I had seen it before I bought my coop which was made in China.  They are made in the uk and delivery charges are reasonable.  Worth having a look, hope you find what you are looking for.

I am considering getting an avairy or rabbit hutch from them for the quail I have just bought.
