how do I put my onions on a string ??

there is a step by step guide in my GYO magazine but frankly I think I need diagrams as well everyone (who gardens) says it's easy but no one has shown me any tips ??  :(

There are also other good videos on Youtube for various ways of stringing or plaiting onions. I suggest you have a look at a few and choose whichever you think will suit you best. There doesn't seem to be one definitive way to do it!
