Hi all, came across this yesterday.
The late great Jack Hargreaves.
Thought some of you might be interested.....although I expect most of you know already :tongue2:
Informative & they look good, although as he says at the end, " a frame & a bit of chicken wire works better" :D

I used to love watching Jack Hargreaves!
That looks good too! If I ever grow onions again, I'll try that. Usually I cheat by putting them in a clean pair of old tights and hanging the tights up! :lol: :lol:

Explanations are ok, but I find a visual demonstration much easier to follow...I just thought it might be of interest.... :)
Is the Monty you refer to, Monty Don? :wacko:

watched Jack hargreaves vidio of how to string onions and had a go this afternoon in the greenhouse with a thunderstorm rageing outside!!!!!!!!!!!
found it a lot easier than plaiting them which is what i did last year
so will definely do the rest of them the same way
