Runner beans

Leave the pods to dry on the plants as long as you can.  It is getting late in the season now, so hopefully you have already left some to develop a bit more.   If not, you might be too late and it may be a plan to postpone until next year.

Once the pods are brown and dry, the seeds inside will be well formed.  I usually pick the pods and let them dry out further in a cool but dry place. There is no hurry to get the seeds out as they continue to develop and dry out even when the pods have been picked.
