recommend a book
« on: July 14, 2011, 23:42 »
Think i'm going to seriously start brewing my own wine. ANy ideas for good basic books!!

Over the last 2yrs i have dabbled a bit, elderflower champagne and wine, pear wine. They were ok but didnt urge me on. (used to do beer and wine from kits 30yrs ago when probally only in to getting p...ed on the cheap)

The other night i opened some parsnip wine i did 18mths ago(cant believe i had the patience), it's absolutely gorgeous, hence the new drive to brew.

Mainly into using my allotment over-production or left over's if that helps on book advice

My 'bible' is "Drink your own Garden" by Judith Glover.  Sorry, no I.S.B.N.  :D   Cheers,   Tony.

I've got two gallons of purple podded pead pod wine glopping away nicely in the airing cupboard.  :D  Luverly colour too.   :D Cheers,   Tony.

I have a book called 500 recipes for wine and other drinks by Marguerite patern . Has anyone used these recipes?

I found it at my parents house published 1972.
