A virgin wine maker
« on: September 07, 2010, 12:28 »
After the annual plum harvest; thought it was about time i did something worthwhile with the glut.

Have been meaning to do this wine making for the last few years but have now just brought some kit and the plums are in the bin for the a few days.
Top tip for camping....don't go.

Hope it turns out well for you Pompey!  My wild plum wine is bubbling away quite nicely, in fact it needs racking, but I tested it last night.  Boy its strong!

Yep..all done. Thanks for that. Guy at the Home Brew shop gave me lots of advice.

Making a gallon to begin with and after buying a winemaking book, found a recipe for a dry white using windfall apples that don't need pressing.  hic
