Invaded
« on: June 29, 2011, 13:15 »
All of my garden is running alive with ants and woodlice,  the ant nests are now under all my plants and the plants are covered in the beasts, who together with the woodlice are now eating all the petals into rags sooner than the flowers can up.    Shall I move to a top floor flat  .  Seriously though, apart from tipping ant powder all over the plants, what can I do.   regards, Mrs Bouquet

after years of my aunt using powders I have persuaded her to let me put bait pots down that ants take bait from back to nest and poison the nest. First year in over 20 she has had no ants

I've used this before Mrs B and it's very good.  Ant powder is not good for plants so stick to biological controls or traps like RichardA advises  :)
