Probably not worth mentioning but I used a bread crate to space out my seed holes the othe day. Noticed the holes were a good distance apart and it also flattened my soil down so it was good and level. Anybody else use anything like this on their plot? Or is there a commercial spacer on the market?

actully it seems a good idea to me i think if maybe its possible to cut the longest narrow section to make it more managable sounds good cheers.

I agree, sounds like a good idea :D

Any tip is worth mentioning :)

I saw a tip similar to this on some telly show where the presenter drilled holes in a piece of plywood. Having it ready to go in a bread crate is far easier.

apologies for plugging my organisation but in this video
SSd9yI-ljH0you can see the contractors using frames to help them plant out a green roof...
-
Savbo, You are not allowed to plug organisations you are concerned with - t'is in our site policies and can lead to a ban
BUT I'll let you off this time as the video doesn't play.

Must be Internet Explorer then >:(

I`m on IE, and I`ve just watched it twice.
Has that roof collapsed yet?
-
I wondered about that too Grandan, how does a flat roof hold that weight.

Worked this morning (IE9) but it didn't yesterday!

interestingly we've found that most older roofs have more than enough strength, it's more modern roofs that are more precisely designed that it's difficult to add things onto...
