Title: How to set up an automatic watering system
Post by: nickmcmechan on June 28, 2011, 14:50
So, bagged myself a 12V auto demand pump from ebay. What else do I need?

I'm guessing

- hose
- t connectors
- car battery
- some sort of solar charger for the battery (not quite sur what though)
- sprinkler heads
- timer thingy

And any ideas where to get the stuff cheap?

Cheers. :)

I got the Aldi watering set for £6 the other week.
Set it all up over the weekend and left it dripping. All looked well on the Sunday when I was around to see it dripping, but on Monday evening when I got back from work the green house was flooded and the water butt empty!
Some sort of timer is needed to let out water at various times of the day.  ;)
