Try the BBC or Met Office weather apps.  They give their prediction for your location.   I find the Met Office one more accurate.
I prefer the Met Office too.

Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly John, I hope that soon changes for the better!

Weather, illness, etc. can be very frustrating when there is a lot to do!  I can sympathize, just hope it changes for you.

General Gardening / Re: Hot lips

We have one in our garden that has been there for some years now, and they do make quite a big plant. I don't know, but perhaps it just needs more room at the roots.  Ours flowers prolifically, and if it's very hot the flowers turn white, then get the red colour back when it cools down a bit.  If you have a longish branch towards the ground they are very easy to propagate by scraping the bark from one side of the branch, then pinning it into the soil. Leave it there until the next year, tug very gently and you will more than likely find it has rooted and you can cut it free and plant another one out. I also wait until all risk of frost has passed and then trim the shrub quite hard, making sure that there are green shoots below where I cut it and it soon grows back again, flowering on growth made in the same season.

Errrm nope!

Been caught out few times over the decades.

Personally if there is a risk I would cover anyway, at least you will have a crop.

We have several sites ranging 2c to 5c tomorrow night, will be covering the toms just in case, no point risking.
Good luck

Looking like mac and cheese - I'll have to chuck some sweetcorn in and call it the veggie part. Im trying to use the freezer stuff up to defrost and restock it - Meals are going to be interesting for a while  :nowink:

Chilli con carne made with diced beef as I couldn't find any mince in the freezer.
