Title: How do you dry saffron?
Post by: Kevin67 on November 04, 2014, 21:01
Worthy of its own thread, and not previously discussed as far as I can see, given the expense of Saffron, how would one dry it, please, and how long might one keep it in a sterile vial?

Again I have checked the 'net and YouTube but found nothing  ???

Thanking you!

As far as I gather from my internet trawls you stick it between 2 sheets of kitchen paper, leave for a few days until dry then put in an airtight jar in a cool dark place. Don't know how long it keeps.
