Shade?
« on: August 11, 2010, 11:17 »
I am just planning for next year, is there anything that will grow well in shade - the only space I have to work with is very shady with a little sun towards the end of the day. I would like to grow all the usual beetroot, carrots, lettuce etc... Are there special varieties?

Can anyone advise so I don't buy seed and it go to waste.. Thanks

There is quite a lot that you can grow:

salald greens, lettuce, calabrese, kale, cauliflower, radishes, beetroot, peas, beans and fruit that naturally would be 'edge of woodland' like rhubrab, gooseberries and raspberries

Hope that helps for starters  :D
