advice needed, how can i kill the grass on my plot, the council put stuff on it and killed some but now its growing back and making digging a nightmare!i dont mind chemicals or nuclear warfare if nessasary

You're probably best off taking out the top few inches, and composting it, and then starting  afresh with the soil underneath.

Spray it again with round up, when you say grass do you mean annual grass or perennial like couch ?

You can dig in annual grasses but you can't couch and the like it needs killing.

i think its annual grass like you have in lawns

Ok then you can dig a trench spit deep, 6" or so wide then remove grass from next 6" then put it in the bottom of your trench upside down. Then dig the bit you have just removed the grass from and turn the soil over onto the upside down grass, which leaves you with a new trench and then carry on like that. Or spray it off with round up (easier option ).
