OH doesn't like his mash with bits of skin either, but I do sometimes leave the skin on when doing chips.  I know we shouldn't eat chips, but I still like them on Fridays with me bit of fish.  The smell is lovely, just like baked spuds!

I did King Edwards the year before last and they broke up everytime I tried to boil them, and when I tried just steaming them too.  Don't have a pressure cooker anymore!!!!!

I`m going with aaran pilot-first early new pots
                       rocket-first early,new pots
                       picasso-early main crop,gen purpose/bakers(waxey)
                       rooster-early main crop,gen purpose/baker(floury flesh)
                       charlotte-second early,salad
                        kestrel-second early,gen purpose
pink fir apple-late maincrop, waxey late salads that keep well past Christmas and are my favourites.
Few harlequin that are last years and have nice, strong buds so I will try them in pots in greenhouse.
We usually grow toomany salads so I`m trying to spread them this year.We are just eating the last of the sarpos and juliette salads now.

When i'm ordering my seed potatoes i always check whether they make good chips, boiling etc....with D T Brown there's usually a little chart telling you what they are good for so you know.  King Edwards are great bakers.

I'm growing this season....
