Any of you who buy mince meat from Tescos, can use the clear plastic containers as propagators, either on there own over pots or as a pair one acting as the seed tray with holes for drainage the other held on top with a small bit of tape.

Ive been using mine for the seedlings for 2 weeks :) great minds think alike eh? lol

and the bigger multipack meat trays are good as water dishes under your tomato pots :)

The round marg tubes with clear lids and the clear pots that mixed peel and glazed cherrys are exellent for seeds like cues, toms and squashs.

And if anyone needs help with eating the glazed cherries first ... post them here and The Man (my fella!) will oblige !!!! Anything to keep him from snaffling my baking stash!

had good results with one of the things donuts and cornflake cakes come in as an all in one propagator for lettuces.

Last year I picked up a large plastic propogator from the Freebies Table on out allotment. Perfect item. What is wrong with some people?

I am currently banned from visiting our local tip/recycling centre -unless I take the hubbie with me due to previous form of coming home with more than I took!! ::)
Too much good stuff gets wasted!
