I accidently broke two stems of my sweet 'gourmet' pepper plant.  I have removed the peppers on the broken stems and put on a window sill.  They are green at the mo' will they go the orange they are supposed to go.  They are also covered in whitefly will this affect them.  Don't care if organic method or inorganic.

Provided the peppers were relatively mature before you broke the stem they should ripen off the plant, although they may not keep as well.

For whitefly, try spraying with water diluted with a couple of drops of washing up liquid - this works better on aphids but does also knock back populations of whitefly.

Thanks think I will lose tham  as they are softish and wrinkling, still loads on plant, really good crop. Damned annoying though that'll teach me to try and move the pot on my own.
