what weed is it?

Been trying to find a picture or info on google with no joy

Ive got some weeds popping up (as they have every year)

They grow very deep and are very difficult to pull out - when i do try there is quite a few long strands that break as i try to dig them out - under ground they are longish roots

Any ideas what they are?

(i know i need a picture really dont i)

What about creeping buttercup :unsure:They are hard to pull out and have a bunch of white roots that break when you do get them out.

Nope - not harestail or creeping buttercup (I do i have than in my garden at home though!!)

Its "spindly" when it comes through the surface - its becoming the pain of my life!!! :mad:

I have this awful stuff that looks just like a couple of blades of grass and when you pull it, there's about 5 feet of woody root - it's a royal pain.....

That and the clumps of grass that all seem to have an ants nest under them  :lol:
