Raspberry Beetle
« on: November 06, 2008, 12:55 »
My raspberries were all affected with raspberry beetle early on in the year, they improved in Sept/Oct (Autumn Rasps).

I have them in a raised bed and i want to move them to be  part of a fruiting hedge around my plot.

How can i treat for the beetle, will they automatically remain affected with it, or should i bite the bullet and get new plants?

Thanks in advance.
Liv.

Raspebbry beetle overwinters in the ground so as long as you don't transfere soil with the plants they should be OK.  I'd move them when dormant and sit them in a bucket of water to wash the soil off before replanting.
