problem with runner beans

I have some runner beans that I sowed a couple of weeks back. They have germinated but the stems are 8 inches long before the first two leaves. They don't seem like others I have had. Should I repot and bury some of the stem in compost?

Just grow them up something the present length won't matter at all.

Thanks.  OK I'll plant them up canes at the weekend :)  Phew I've been having a disaster with my runner beans this year.  This is my third attempt, a bit late now I know.
