Next Monday I'm going into a local place for two weeks for my much-needed detox. Both of us are trying to get our stuff packed up and are so glad we got a recommended removal firm to help us out because we've just been left in the lurch somewhat due to other family circumstances. I'm trying to let various firms, banks, etc know of our change of address but it's like banging your head on a brick wall because of the corona virus.
Just as an aside, our lovely gardener who we call "Handy Andy" brought me a lovely card along with a chocolate orange just to wish me well, my dear grand-daughter made me a birthday card "wot she wrote" herself and drew a cat with attached beady eyes that move when you shake it, then she brought me a dandelion flower as another present. Aren't the simplest of things so marvellous!
"Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye
But I will never be left on my own.
As long as I can have beans on toast,
Then the world's my own."
