Yes she did sometimes.  She also made a sort of growling noise when I opened the nest box. 
2 Springer Spaniels, 1 Speckled Sussex,  1 Cuckoo Maran, 1 Light Sussex, 1 Welsummer, 2 Barnvelders and 2 silver Pencil Wyandotes.

Hi mine had lice then mites a few weeks ago, although without the added complication of broodiness.
I used frontline for cats 2 x 7 days apart which got rid of all nasties but I had a non-laying young hen about 25 weeks with a very pale comb and a few symptoms of stress. She didn't really settle down/recover until I gave her a bath. I think the mite bodies continued to irritate her (she was shaking her head frequently too). After her bath anf blowdry which she liked she's been much better, has put lots of weight on and seems perfectly content now (although still not laying yet).
