no sign of chicks just the little peeps. when they start hatching does she get off the eggs?

No she'll just sit tight till they are fluffed up and then they'll start poking their heads out

ah. then perhaps there are a few under her already. how long until the fluff up?

oooo... i've seen three i think. One brown, one yellow and one silver.
No chance of photo's yet.

ooh, cute little ones  . Hatching can last for a couple of days, so don't panick if the others dont eat or drink they will be ok for a while.

all out and looking fluffy and cute! Mother hen looking really proud! I have chcik crumbs for them but do i need it? Henrietta seems to be breaking up her food for them. She has a corn and layers pellet mix. Is that okay?
Picture will follow when i can catch them all out from under mum and i have camera!

Best to give them the chick crumbs Dh, it's got all sorts of goodies in to help them grow big & strong
